1/72 Clearance at Target

I just did a Target run and found the 1/72 figure sets on clearance for $4.88. Got the German and Cossack cavalry and the US stretcher set. I am not really into these little guys as even 1/72 AC and AFVs are on the small side for me, but for the price I couldn't pass them up.

That's a great deal, I'll have to keep an eye out for these even though I already have a set of each. 1:32 is a great scale for display and diorama's etc, but it is not particularly well suited to wargaming except on a very small unit level, 1:72 is really the ideal scale IMO for wargaming, and offers the best mix of detail and the ability to set up fairly large skirmishes in a relatively small area, plus the range of vehicles, troops, and accessories available in 1:72 is one of the best (if not the best) in any scale. If you ever plan to do any wargaming, or even diorama's that feature more than a few vehicles, structures and troops, then 1:72 is really an excellent choice.

I agree with you on wargaming. I am almost embarrassed to say I picked up a few cases of 1/144 armor for $1 each and they are awfully fun to tool around with. I love the 1/72 armor, especially the Dragon pieces but the figures just seem so small and fragile. Someday I will probably have enough of them to do something with and pull them all out of the package!

The only models I don't consider fragile are the Corgi Fighting machines (e.g. P-51, P-38) that are just about solid die-cast.

Checked a local Target and nothing on clearance. So maybe varies by location??
