King and Country Observation
I see your K&C addiction is now deeply rooted.
"sorry for K&C question"...
How can you be sorry for too many K&C questions- there's no such thing! I'm just happy to see some others get the K&C addiction. You start with a vehicle then a figure set, then it's all over for you.
hah
I noticed the very same thing about the vehicles. Wittman's tiger is the perfect example, 4 figures and a tiger tank for 100 bucks. So its like paying 20 for a vehicle (which is cheaper than FOV and about the same as 21st). I therefore can draw no other conclusion than that everyone should collect KC instead.
-the fact that 5 or 6 fig's costs 10-15 for FOV and 21st versus 80-90 for KC is completely irrelevant!

Sniper quote"Wittman's tiger is the perfect example, 4 figures and a tiger tank for 100 bucks."
I don't recall 4 fig's when I purchased my Wittman Tiger.Sniper did you get a bonus or something.Even with three half fig's this is a piece worth getting.

I am finally going to see K&C figures in person later this week at Sierra Toy Soldier in Los Gatos.
However, when it comes to the Tank crew and Tank "rider" figures, it seems difficult to move and display these guys on most armoured vehicles, because if a figure falls off the vehicle onto a hard display surface (i.e. oak table), then the paint-over-metal might chip.
Has this been a problem for anyone?

Tank Riders
I,ve got 2 tigers & 1 sherman, 1 stug, all with riders and never had one fall off, and all are displayed.
If this is the first time you will see K&C in person be prepared to join the club.

I presume the Wittman Tiger is due for retirement soon: WS15 (with 205 on the hull) lasted for less than a year. Then WS25 (with 131 on the hull, plus Michel Wittman) lasted barely into 2002 before selling out.
I can remember from a brochure ('Blood and Steel') that came out around the time of the launch of WS43 (with 007 on the hull) that they seemed to indicate that it would be same again, a relatively limited production run for the Tiger. Maybe the new WS 67 King Tiger will herald the retirement of WS43.
By the way I can remember on eBay that one of the 2 early (pre-WS) Tigers (TK ref) had 117 on the hull. It sold for about $2,000. Does anyone know what the hull number was for the other early wooden (TK) Tiger?
Whilst on the subject of Tigers you may have noticed that those good people in Treefrog Treasures are offering half-figures from the earlier WS tank sets on sale at present.
