Russian planes and tanks do not come up in talks all that much on this board. Mostly German and the US. With all of the Eastern front German stuff that is out what would be cool to see in the line of planes and tanks? Here is a poll with some of the most popular Russian planes and tanks.

I am not sure that this will come out I may have to make another post with the tanks on it.

The Pe-2 was the Russian's Mosquito . It was made of steel not wood and it was popular with the Russians . But it is not a main stream plane as far as popularity goes. I think that the little stubby I-16 could have made the list but I was thinking the most popular Russian planes.

I really like the Migs, especially in some of the striking winter white w/ red arrows and trim. I would love to see this put out someday.

A T-34 has to be made at some point by someone. I am still holding a candle for a C model in 1/32. I would buy a baker's dozen for customs.

Ah! T-34/76 Mod. 1940 with the L-11 gun. I've never heard anyone call T-34 variants in letter codes before (because the Soviets never did).

The T-34/76 Mod. 1941 is the one with the F-34 gun (high velocity gun).

T-34/76 Mod. 1942 is basically the same as the Mod. 1941, but simplified for easier production and a slightly thicker armor. There were also several minor exterior differences.

T-34/76 Mod. 1943 is the one with the bigger, hexagon-shaped turret. It's the most numerous version of T-34 built. This version were also made differently, with slightly different-looking turret (ie: hard-edged, soft-edged, w/cupola, etc).

I believe the Sturmovik was the most produced aircraft in the Soviet inventory, with more than 35,000 made. The T-34 was by far the most produced Russian tank, and by the end of 1945 nearly 60,000 had been made.

The Sturmovik was the most produced military aircraft - period. Any time, any type. It is very much overdue in 1:18, but I understand why American-based companies fear it won't sell here.

And yeah, the T-34 is way overdue as well. That I think would sell well even if it is Russian.

There is a "silver lining" in the rumblings that 21C won't be able to sell as much at mass retail and will instead have to produce fewer items at higher prices for online stores --- they'll be able to more directly cater to the desires of us collectors vs. worrying about mass-appeal. A Sturmovik or T-34 could then happen, we'd just have to pay more for it.
