This is my first 1/18 custom attempt. I got into the 1/18 scene too late to get all the WM clearance tanks and have had to pay through the nose to get them.
This is an RC 21C knockoff I bought off e-bay for less than $40 shipped, so I thought that for that price I could risk ruining it with my sausage fingers.
I chose not to cut away the mud flaps which are not accurate (they help keep the tracks on as they are easily shed when running it after the cat)and decided to hand paint the unit numbers, balkenkruez and Kursk tactical signs rather than buy the decals.
The pics did not come out very well and don't show the detail like I hoped, but the camera battery died so I won't try to redo them.

The weathering looks good nice and dirty. Did the tank come in Panzer Grey or did you paint it ?

It came in a pretty cheesy molded green with camo. Here is a link to one of the e-bay auctions that show it in all it's original craptastic glory:

Hmm... You know, with an awesome paintjob like that, the knock-off Panzer IV doesn't look that bad! You did a great job with that weathering

nice job olifant.
The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.

That looks good Oilfant.
Buy it now $12.98, shipping $28.00 total $ 40.98 not bad for a 1:18th Panzer IV.

awesome custom...if you plan on doing more of them, marauderinc.com is releasing a 1:18 mg34 cheap soon, their quality is always top notch and its a cheap way to get mg34's for customs, like this one...
great paint job...im tempted to get them to try it myself. is this the same seller where one had to specify the model number so one didnt get the faux abrams?

Thanks for the kind words guys, expecially Yoxford. I am in awe of your stuff!
The MG-34 is from a FOV figure. The one included with the tank is a terribly molded Ma-duece.
I made sure to point out the correct model number of the tank I was buying to ensure I didn't get one of their M-1 ausf H tanks and had no problems with the delivery.

Nice work Oli, looks good.
Hey did you guys notice the Panzer III....?? I'm no expert, but at first glance it looks pretty accurate, too bad it's 1:16 though.

That Panzer III looks great. Thats another one 21st or FOV should make.
The barrel looks a little over sized maybe due to the fact it shoots BBs. $44.00 is a good price but then you got the shipping and that puts it over $80.00.
