Sorry if I've missed this topic, but I was wondering if anyone's picked this set up and if so, any reviews? Is the Corsair Ike Kepford's version? Did you find it at a box store or online? I see Monkey Depot's got it on sale for $37.95.
Thanks!
Corsair/Zero Dogfight
.
they're 29.95 at smalljoes.com- I don't believe its the kepford, though. I kept passing a set by at walmart here- one more zero to complete the zero collection- but ignored it long enough till it dissappeared.

The Corsair is Tommy Blackburn's plane, "Big Hog." This was the flighter leader for VF-17, the same squadron that Kepford was in.
This 32x Corsair was first avaliable as a single boxed aircraft over the winter of 2006/2007 at Wal Mart and the small retailers. In an interesting move, the Zero/Corsair dogfight pack included a re-release of a paintscheme as opposed to a new repaint. All other Dogfight packs before and since included all-new repaints. Kepford's Corsair would have been a much better choice, in my opinion. The Zero, however, is new

I'd highly recommend both planes. They are some of the better planes in the 32x aircraft lineup and feature alot of detail. The Corsair, in fact, is more detailed than the 1:18 Corsair made by 21c. Of the 1:32 Corsairs, the "Big Hog" paintscheme is my personal favorite

I usually don't complain too much about quality on the 21C releases, but the Zero I got with this set looks terrible with paint runs, smears, fingerprints and missing spots. Must have been a Monday job after too much rice wine.
The Corsair is my favorite though, and I missed the single piece so I can't complain too much.
