I too wonder about who buys these fine figures other than us? Does a child really want three or six army men for $7.00 when he can get a bag full for 99c? Does a parent buy their ten year old expensive soldiers with little parts or cheap ones with solid one piece construction?

I will buy these but I don't think they will be quenching my 1/32 fire. Kind of like kissing your sister...

I kind of agree.... a pretty limited market for these IMO. If these do end up at retail chains like TRU at all, I believe they will be mostly peg warmers. I guess these are nice for somebody who needs opponents if they are modeling the Kwangtung army, but I personally would not have much interest in them. I still can't understand why they chose to make these as opposed to some new Russians...

Not too much of a markup on that one - its priced at the regular retail price for the plane at either TRU or other small retailers. The amount I'd waste on gas driving to the different stores in my area justifies the shipping cost

It's Tchang-Kaï-Chek troops , who fought against the Japanese in 1936/37 ( look

I believe that the Red Chinese also fought the Japanese.

While I agree that red Chinese might not be as popular they were a legitimate force and they were so with very little allied support. They did not get wealthy due to foreign aid. By the same token there is a direct line from them to the next Summer Olympics so perhaps a Chinese javilineer would be appropriate- one with an air rifle(?) another shown as a POW....

Perhaps the contemporary European militaries then- in full band attire, with instruments that their nations may be particularly well know for. Bagpipes for Scotland, perhaps piccolos for the Netherlands, Clarinets for Belgium....
