World War I Aircraft For Sale

Post by Coreyeagle48 » Sun Mar 23, 2008 6:00 pm

I'm letting go some of my duplicate schemes and to make some room in my collection and thin things out a bit. Someone initally expressed interest in these but passed so now they are up to grabs for the rest of the board. All these aircraft are by Authentic Models and are in condition as noted in the description. I included measurements as well so you can judge the scales of the airplanes. I have a trade list I have placed at the bottom so we can discuss the options.

Fokker D-VII $40 shipped

Fictional color scheme. This model has a wingspan of about 15 inches and a length of about 13 inches. Model had a couple of spokes on the one wheel come loose, but they have been repaired with super glue.

Fokker D-VII #2 $30 shipped

Image

Same size as first one. This one is painted in red and blue and in U.S. colors. It is a fantasy scheme like all the others. Looks good though. Tires have cracked slightly but it causes no problems.

Curtiss Jenny $35 shipped

Image

Model has a wingspan of 18 inches and length of 12 inches. Very nice model airplane. The tires have cracked due to age and one rigging wire has come loose. The tires will eventually need to be replaced (a small rubber ring you can find in plumbing packs at the hardware store may do the trick). That's what I was going to use but never got around to it. The rigging is an easy fix and the tire has never come off so I believe it will be ok. Nice blue and yellow scheme in U.S. colors.

Sopwith Camel $40 shipped

Image

Model has a wingspan of 14 inches and a length of 10 inches. Model is a fictional scheme. Only problem with model is the top wing was glued slightly crooked. One spar has been repaired. This was a factory defect. Could be repaired or left as is, not noticeable when plane is parked on shelf. Good looking model

I have four stands for these models. Oddly, no stand came with the Camel but two came with the Jenny, so if you would buy the Jenny, you can use one of its stands for the Camel. These are nice models.

PM me if you are interested! First come is first served!

or money is always good too!

**These will be packed extremely carefully to prevent breakage. Just so everyone knows I am serious about selling these and doing so without them breaking in transit** Thanks>
