Yes, they are! I went ape over these when they came out, and bought several sets. Great poses and I love the cavalry figures. They even got the armor right, and the horses don't have sturips (as they weren't invented in Roman times.) Where did the figure holding its shield over the head come from? That wasn't in the sets originally avaliable in the US. It would been cool so as to make a testudo formation, but no real big deal, as I could customize one. The Romans go quite well with the Viking figures from the same Historical Legends line, as the Vikings work as barbarian tribesmen.

The figure holding its shield over the head come from sets 22404 and 22504:Image

Actually they have small bases, to only one foot, to be able to be laid the ones next the others.

Somethin'else: on the back of the blisters, 2006 only. Did somebody know, if UNIMAX will continue this range with new figures?

I bought some of these also. That set with overhead shield never came out I thought.

I have no idea if they will ever do anymore or not. Also what site did you buy the Romans with shield over head?

I got the one with the shield over his head at target.

Really? I never saw that one. Then again, I didn't look too closely after I got a bunch of the initial wave. Too bad, as I could have really used it!

Great looking figures.
