Anyone bought from smalljoes.com?
Are they reliable?
Their prices and shipping seem to be competitive and
better than I've seen on ebay and other online dealers.
Any feedback on this dealer would be great thanks.

Can;t go wrong with these guys. Good prices, fair shipping, fast service and they sent me a boxful of what was the most beautifully wrapped 1/18 figures once. Each was separated from the other by thin paper to protect them from marring; it must have taken someone fifteen minutes to pack.

Quick answer: nodragon53 wrote:Does Smalljoes ever have sales such for Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Christmas, Fathers Day?
We generally avoid the holiday sales gimmick (and they usually are gimmicks in one way or another) and opt for a straightforward approach of consistently competitive prices year-around. Any vendor who regularly offers sales will also find the consumer just waiting around for sales to buy. I prefer to avoid that kind of "feast or famine" approach to attracting customers. It is also worth mentioning that the originators of the holiday sale, big box brick and mortar retail stores, benefit much more greatly from getting customers into the stores on "special occasions" as compared to internet vendors where the ability to quickly comparison shop from the comfort of your own home is available at any time.
You won't see us offering "free shipping" then raising the per unit price of everything by 20%. When you see something on sale it will usually be accompanied by a direct explanation, i.e. "need to clear out some excess inventory", or "this is a closeout item and we are passing the savings on to you", etc.

Remember, you don't walk into a car dealership and reveal your hand (i.e. I *LOVE* this car) before haggling over price. The same could reasonably be said of the pre-ordering concept. Although I never offer pre-orders, I do watch the pre-order pricing of competitors, a find that the pricing is often higher than what it will be later during general release period. Why lock yourself into an advance commitment unless you expect the item to fully sell out, never to be available again, at the pre-release stage?General Blasto wrote:I too have ordered from them and received Great service![]()
Now if they'd just let me pre-order the KTs and 88s I'd really be over joyed

I will add to the chorus of hosannas for Small Joes. Have done business with them a couple of times and liked the results. Their prices seem quite good and the shipping costs reasonable. Will likely hit them again in the near future. BRAVO ZULU!!!!

I bought from them a few times.
My first order went bad. I ordered a 21st Tiger about two weeks before Christmas, hoping to get it before Christmas.
I emailed them for a status of my order, and they promptly replied that they have shipped it.
But Christmas went by...still no Tiger. I couldn't reach them because they were on a Holiday break. I managed to contact them in January, and they realized they haven't shipped it out yet.
They apologized, and shipped my tank to me ASAP.
They're good folks, and was willing to admit their mistakes, so I wasn't too angry. I even bought from them a few more times, and those went without a hitch.

That is when the true colors show ...when/if there is a problem. I had a shipping issue with a different store around Christmas a couple years ago and was appalled at the lack of service/support. Now they lose out on my and all my friends/colleagues business.

Nah never did any of that. Never even made contact about the issue, just figured that's how you guys shipped and opted not to order anymore. Just "my" experience.coreystinson wrote:It takes a little more than "saying something negative" to get your account closed.
