Yes, you can get them domestically from Michigan Toy Soldiers but they will cost you considerably more. I can recommend the Always Model guys, they are in China, but I had no problems with my ebay order, it arrived promptly and well packed, and by purchasing a multi-set lot I got a great deal. For what it's worth, I understand Pegasus may be offering pre-painted WWII figs in the near future. Good luck whichever way you decide to go.is there any other site than the "always Model" site that i can buy them from?

Yes, Caesar Miniatures makes their "Parade Series" of 1/72 prepainted figures in addition to what Forces of Valor has put out over the last 2 years.
Michigan Toy Soldier company now has these painted Caesar Miniatures in stock if you want to order from a US based company, plus they offer 10-15% off retail if you sign up for their mailing list.
Their link is below, just scroll down a little bit to see the figures.

No Mike, I was never assigned to the 3rd ACR myself, I was in a medical unit that supported the Cav, and many of my close friends and associates were Cav troopers, and it was an organization that I greatly admired and respected, and still do. That was back in the early 1970's when the 3rd ACR was garrisoned at Ft. Bliss Texas, and god that seems like a lifetime ago, but I still have fond memories of those times. I left active duty in 1980, but I still work for the Army as a DoD civilian at a major medical center in the Washington DC area. BTW Mike, thank you for your service to our country.3rd acr just came in recently as the new land owners, so we fall under them somewhat now, are you still with the unit?
