Yea, I was kind of bummed BBI was not there. I was hoping they might have something in the works. :(

I didn't see Afergys off topic Toyfair post. If you want to lock this post Aferguson you can do so no problemo. But this should be a main topic not an off topic because ... Just because it is a bummer. :?

cannot believe I am saying this, but I have been holding out forever on the KT and 88, so nothing new there, so my excitment if you can call it that, is coming from the 2 upcoming Indiana Jones vehicles. Where am I heading, 21st get me back on track.

I can't wait for the KT or the 88 as well, and I'm glad to see new figures w/sculpted legs (more troops for the battle :D ). Those Indiana Jones trucks sure look great as well, and did you guys notice the "wood" crates coming with some of the figs. Thats pretty cool 8) They look plastic, I hope they are plastic. :)

YEEE!!! and 21c said 1/6 is dead to them!!

http://www.21stcenturytoys.com/area21/a ... newsID=321

Based on their Thompson and MG42, they will be good for background fillers, not the primetime stuff that other's have already done.

Tho the ammo cans and belts might be of some use.

Oh boy, 21c'd soured me on 1/18 I refuse to believe that they followed me to 1/6!!

Boy..... is this the same board that waited for what.... almost three years for an Avenger?

All the clues pointed to a very slow year for our toys. With the no-shows, especially DML, they point to an even slower year. The Chinese have found a neat way to improve air quality for the Olympics..... just shut factories, put millions out of work..... hey I hope our ecofanitcs don't think thats a good idea for this country also..

Have patience guys, enjoy what we get. 21C already has the KT and the 88 in the pipeline. We should also get a few re-paints before Christmas also.

Toy Fair the last couple years has been re-thought by 21st as a means to a "get business done" type of show. Most of what is shown is stuff that is already available, or just on the fringe of becomming available. Also, with new competition enetering the industry we see all of the companies are more protective of future developments.

I know for an absolute fact that Toy Fair does not reflect the 2008 release year. We will see more new developments announced in all scales. So in answer to the question... From a FAN perspective is Toy Fair a bust? -I would say YES from a new development announcement perspective we already have seen or heard about the products through AREA-21. (This also tells me that we have been doing a good job of feeding the news)

But, I would not get depressed about the rest of the year. I know there are some fun new things in the works. New figures, vehicles, and yes aircraft! Keep your eyes on AREA-21 to be the delivery system on these items. IF 21C goes to Comic Con you would then see more of a FAN show there!

hope this intel helps!

yeah - what TKO said - we sort of already get a sneak-peak into future releases from 21st through the website and TKO! Thanks TKO!
Toyfair is a place for toy companies to try to pick up stores to buy AND sell their product - you are typically going to see items that can get stocked on your shelf very quickly if you like what you see.

For many people this was the first time they saw the 88 and the King Tiger!
Im very excited about the new legs on the D-day figures -

The reason toy fair was a bust was 50% of the 1:18 players didn't show - BBI and Bravo Team, and only one in four showed anything new - 21C.

Yep, Thanks TKO 8)
It's nice to have a company rep. posting and keepin' us more in the groove of what's happening in 1/18th world. I don't see much of anyone else's companies posting about new figures or armour(maybe planes, but I'm a Armour man  ). So I'm hoping that the King Kittys and the 88s are soon on the way :P Da General
