Hope we see a 1:32 Churchill someday, preferably FOV. I really love that tank and it's WWI looks. Also a Char B for the same reason.
Look what I found... New Marder III SdKfz. 139

I hit TRU again and found... no new armor, 190 F's or P-51D's. They did have the FOV 1:72 Churchill which I have been hoping to find for ages and the 1:72 M!A2 Abrams which is sweet so it wasn't a total loss. I hope February is a better month for finding new 32x, and Star Wars figures cause January sucked.

Hope we see a 1:32 Churchill someday, preferably FOV. I really love that tank and it's WWI looks. Also a Char B for the same reason.

It's good to know. It kind of settles down the thought in the back of my mind. I have been thinking of going back to the-rape-me. (Therapy) But I work every day I don't go to school, I don't even have time for friends.
Anyway, Rowsdower, I don't see how you can collect all these scales... I'd be flat broke.
I actually thought about starting up with 1:72... mainly because it's a popular scale, and the landing craft FOV makes is nice. I can also get MiG-29s and stuff in it.

well i ordered the 1st marder off ebay the other day, got it cheap. because the ebay halliburton employees are not getting the profits they want anymore.
but, as to college and being freaked out, maybe it is your degree. Do you hate the school work and the thought of graduating to do that in real life?
I was happy as hell in college because I changed my degree to art, my grades went up and it was something i loved so I didn't really even have to study. Now I am 18 years out of college and making a living as an oil painter.
Now you say you have to buy something when you go in, here's an idea. Buy one you own already, go pick up a good book on modeling tanks and/or dioramas. Buy some decent brushes, and some paints and get to work making a new camo version of the tank. You can try and sell it on ebay or put it ion your shelf. Be sure to use only action series FoV so you don't paint over a tank someone out there needs desperately, but with ultimate soldier go to town. Then you will be spending your money on tools and a new hobby that incorporates your current one and can possibly make you money.
I have a bunch of modeling stuff for landscaping and bought a bunch of unpainted 1;32 soldiers from Toy soldiers of San Diego and Conte collectibles. Then I went to work on my first painted soldier for 1:32 ww2 collectors. Here is a pic of it for everyone and you to see.
Oh and if anyone is interested , it is for sale on ebay

I think he is snazzzzzy!

Hey Buddy, I am not sure if I missed something somewhere - but I have never thought negatively of you at all. I am sure we all have our quirks here - after all, most of us are grown men/women collecting toys.

I sometimes pick up pieces like the 1:72 Churchill because I've always really liked the tank and who knows if we will ever see one in 1:32. The Abrams I got because even though I like the tank I really don't want one in 1:32.
So Basically I only collect in two scales with 1:72 just being a tiny fraction.

That's a great idea... I've done some weathering on tanks and planes, like scratches and stains, but I've been too afraid to totally repaint... I don't have an airbrush, and one thing that bothers me always is how do I get the outlines of lets say, a cowling paintjob with a curve just right? I know how to do mottled paint, which isn't a big deal. I guess I would just need to dive right in.

Well no Marder yet but at WM today I almost missed the Panzer 38(t)! With the new box and the fact they had it shoved into a tight area it was easy to miss. On my away out I just happened to catch (38) out of the corner of my eye. There were three more on the bottom shelf, I guess they come 4 to a case?
First off, I LOVE the new box. No more eyeballing half of the tank and hoping theres nothing wrong with the side you can't see. I hoped there was a Marder in the bunch but no soap. At my neighborhood WM they had 4 more (38T) Panzers! Amazing. I picked myself out a cherry one, and I must say, the tank itself, the added on accessories, the weathering and the super details make this my Favorite tank from 21st! Well until we get the Marder and Hummel anyway!:P
Now if only Hasbro would start sending us Star Wars figures I would be happy.
