FOV P-39 question

Post by P39time » Tue Jan 29, 2008 1:12 pm

Do any of you have the 32nd scale FOV P-39 Airacobra model? What do you think of it? I have only seen it in pictures, and it looks like it has white prop blades. That looks kind of strange. Any info would be great, as I would like to get one.

I will have one in my possession this Thursday

Aparently, the plane came out in small numbers to some retailers sometime last fall and then again in January. No one mentioned it around here about the most recent time so I didn't catch it until it was too late...

Nevertheless, I found them in stock at www.goodstufftogo.net, for $39.99 and ordered one from there. This is a reputable online dealer and they usually have very decent prices on their FOV products. They had this small picture of the boxed product on their site:

It does have the white propeller blades. I'll post a review when I get it on Thursday 8)

Does the P39 also have metal wings like the ME109? I have the action grade P51 and Spitfire and the wings are in plastic. Just wondering.

Looks nice, but what is up with those white prop blades? :(

Just got my P-39 in today :D I haven't unboxed it yet, but my first impressions are VERY positive!! Quite frankly, its paintscheme is as good as a 21c plane, just without all the little paint flaws  The P-39 is in a completely different league than the earlier FOV Spitfire, P-51, and Bf-109G. Again, I'll post pictures and a complete review by tomorrow

Tman, are the prop blades really white? That seems to be the only thing that I can see wrong with the FOV P-39.

I've posted a review of the FOV P-39 in a seperate thread - so it doesn't get lost in this one
