Complete FOV diorama kit. Anyone ever find one of these?

Post by hotrodrock » Sat Jan 26, 2008 6:57 pm

There is an item on ebay of a FOV diorama kit. This is not one of the small accessory kits but an unassembled kit of the complete diorama that the Shermans and Stugs came in. It is the exact same but without the vehicle and the large plastic cover. The box front shows the assembled kit with a halftrack and only says Diorama Accessories across the front. Thought I had seen everything that FOV had, even the overseas items. The seller is in the US, but I thought it might be one of the FOV items from Europe. Anyone ever see one of these before?

Aha. After going back and looking at pictures of the box, there is some fine print on it that says it is from Australia.

Link please? Is it still active? Are you bidding? How high are you planning on going? Will you be bidding at the last moment? What am I going to have to do to get this?

Providing of course I like it once I see it.

How's that link coming?

I'm not absolutely certain, but I think this may be it.... http://cgi.ebay.com/FORCES-of-VALOR-40- ... dZViewItem If you look at the pic of the back of the box it's distributed by an outfit in Melbourne Australia. I believe this may have been a "down under" exclusive, I never saw one of these for sale in the US as far as I know, the only way to get it would have been to buy the complete dio with the tank or whatever vehicle it came with on the US market.

Wow  I could use one (or more) of those! I wonder if is an early release of something coming out in the near future, or an old release we managed to never hear about... It looks fantastic!

InteretHobbies.com has the complete diorama with a Stug for $47. Don't know what shipping is. I have about 10 of these with vehicles (have four of the King Tiger ones) that I bought off ebay a couple of years ago. Didn't pay more than $45 for any of them. Retail on these was around $70 I believe.

Oh, wait! Now I remember what you are talking about! I did see these and my local hobbytown even had a couple at one time. They also did the modern set for the M1, M60, and M3 that had the burnt-out T-72. Their existence just slipped my mind for the moment

Holy cow!

I want! I want! Are you listening FOV? They could make a killing selling sets like that to board members alone!

Wow, I have never seen those before. I hope FOV chooses to re-release these; I must make sure one washes up on my shores at one point. 8)

I have a modern one with the M1A1 Abrams tank with destroyed T-72. I never seen the World War II ones I got into FOV collecting a little late.
