F-101 Voodoo

Post by Sabrefan » Thu Jan 24, 2008 8:58 am

I was thinking how nice an 18th scale F-101 Voodoo would look. I know there is not much chance of this being made, but don't you guys like the look of the Voodoo?

Of all the century fighters I prefer the SuperSaber, but that is a matter of personal choice. I doubt we will see these in 1/18 but my hope is someday they will show in 1/32. I will say all of the planes of this era are attractive; big, beefy air fightin' monsters!

Yes, it's sharp looking plane. I built a 1:48 (I think) scale model of one when I was a kid. Too bad I later shot it with my bb gun!

I like the Voodoo and would like to see it made as well. KWR190 I see that same Voodoo everytime I go north on I-5. I'd also like to see an F-106 as well its my favorite of the century series and Delta wing fighters have not been represented at all in 1/18 scale

Coincidentally, I built one of the 1/48 Revell models (you know, the one you see with the f-106 dart at walmart all the time). It's in my sons' room

Considering the size, I'd prefer the F-4. Both are pretty big!

I love the Century Series jets. The F-104 is probably the smallest of all of them, which is probably why it got made. The others F-101, F-102, F-105, and F-106 would all be huge. The F-100 would be a bit smaller than the rest of them. I think it has a greater chance of being made than the other Century jets.
