C-47 Question-would you buy a partial one.

Post by acisne » Wed Jan 09, 2008 11:35 am

Would it be neat is someone, like BBi, made just the jump door section of the fuselage to display the BBi paratrooper pouring out of?
I have seen the larger McFarlane figures that include part of the Halo door or window with the trooper jumping out or firing.

I have been thinking of making one myself out if a large cardboard tube or PVC pipe, but it never fails that once I attempt to make a custom (with diecast) a manufacturer releases one.

It would be neat to have a whole 1/18 Skytrain, but with my ceiling becoming congested, a partial fuselage would do.

This is about what I have in mind with a few other para in different stages of deployment down below.

The idea works for me.

Currently there is a 1/6 DML fig called Billy Hicks. The fig is a waist gunner on a B-17 and the fig includes a section of the fuselage that is his firing station.

Looks very neat. A section of a 1/18 C-47 has been sugested before and the idea is still great.
