Vegas anyone? 21st Century Toys Movie Premiere Giveaway

Post by digger » Fri Mar 18, 2005 4:29 pm

If anybody's going to be in Vegas next month it looks like there is a Sahara giveaway on Area 21...

Wish I was, but I think I'll be in London for spring break during that time! Personally, I've not much interest in the Sahara line, but I'm glad to see 21c expanding into new frontiers. Hopefully the line will do well!

It seems to me that 21st is trying to pull off the same big bang that Lego got when they hooked up with Star Wars. Probably the most famous and most successful connection ever.

I agree with you Tman- I see the argument that they should be making WWII stuff instead... which I agree with, and I too have no interest in the Saharah line.

But, if it works for them and it sells well, and it gives them the money to make more WWII or whatever stuff... then that works too. I wish them the best of luck with it... i hope it's high quality and sells like hotcakes.

Hey guys! I'm going to the premiere! :-) I heard there were more tickets left... so I'm going to encourage all of you who can to sign up. We'll have a first ever 'GPXD Board - 21st Century Toys' meet! I would love to meet any of you who are able to go, so if you have the chance or are in the area... contact 21st about going! Should be a lot of fun... and we can pick 21'st mind about different products!

hehehehehe....... I was there last year for a Red Flag planning conference so I don't think they'll go for it......

I'm happy that Britt and Dave are going. Once again, we'll have board members meeting eachother for the first time. Great experience! Remember to take pictures!!

I'm happy that you guys are able to make it!!!! You definately deserve it....

Wish I could go, but with the newborn I can't be making any roadtrips. Major bummer. I would put up with my family to go to this.

Have fun, those lucky enough to be going!

Hey guys,
I emailed 21st Century yesterday about these tickets and they sent me a "winning" email.
I checked the date Thursday 7th and it just isn't possible for me to go.
Is there some way I could still get the goodies they are giving away??

P51- do you want an extra ticket??? You could keep saying,"My friend is sick from the flight in, but I can take his goodie bag to him". No one will notice... What do you say?

AVENGER?!? Did you get a good look at it before it went to the 10-year-old? This may mean it will come out sooner than later!

Boomboomjr,
At least you were able to go! Man, I would have given up my eye-teeth to be there. How was the movie??
So, did you guys give them the sad story and get extras for us??

O/T Avenger

Post by wise690 » Fri Apr 08, 2005 8:46 pm

Wow, they gave away an Avenger, maybe we will see them pretty soon.
If you got a good look at the avenger, how many figures did it have, and were they new ones? Does anyone know when it is supposed to be out anyway?

I am back from Vegas! I spent the rest of the week till today (monday) there with some family. I haven't been to Vegas since 6 years ago!

I got a LOT of photos of everything there, I'll be giving them to 21st for Area21 and such. I'll post a few on here.

I actually won a 32X P-51D Mustang 'Lou IV' and the 1:18 Checkered Corsair.

Great to see Mark from Build-a-Rama there, his stuff is AWESOME! He gave some free samples to people. Saw Zach and his partner Allen. Saw BoomboomJr. as well. GREAT time had!
Sooo much stuff was given away. But don't listen to boomboomjr :-P There was no Avenger or Japanese Troops. What a leg puller :-P However, they gave away a ton of 1:18 aircraft, 32x Aircraft/vehicles, a Stuart RC tank (those things are AWESOME!), and a TON of other things. The gift bags came with a Battle of Bastone figure, Sahara shirt and cap, and a catalog along with some magnets and such. Very awesome.

Thanks for all who joined us, glad to see/meet you all. And a BIG thanks to 21st for everything they gave away!

Darn - no Avenger just yet. I fell right for it :P Perhaps it was a little far fetched, since it was only in prototype stage a few weeks ago, however, the lie went perfectly as stranger stuff has occured with 21c! Still, glad you guys had a good time and its great to see 21c reaching out to its fans.

Saw the pics on the 21st Century Website.

Were any of our members in the pics??
That looked like a great time!
Wish I could have went.
