Badcat: 1/18 F-4 Phantoms
Badcat: 1/18 F-4 Phantoms
I got a Badcat email which mentions the 1/18 F-4 Phantoms, which apparently are referring to 21st Century and Admiral, if I remember correctly:
"In response to dozens of emails, no news is forthcoming on 1:18 F-4 Phantoms. Either the manufacturing powers are quietly busy tooling (a process that could take many, many months on this big, complex bird) and/or it's been back-burnered. In any case, we don't know or haven't heard a thing about this aircraft in several months."

f-4
Frankly I am more excited about the Admiral version. The things they had planned for it sounded so awesome, and we have seen with FOV that when you try to come in at a low price you lose a lot of detail/function. I rather spend the $150 and get something breathtaking then $90 for something average.
Not sure if you read all his posts but he said:CW4USARMY wrote:I thought Admiral said they were holding off from making the F-4 because of 21st's announcement and price point. Did Jason say they are making one after all? That will be great if they are.
The F-4 may be on the backburner, but it can be produced in the future. If we do not see 21st’s F-4 at the awesome price of $89 in the near future, you may just see ours released. But I can tell you now, do not ask me when that will be. You will not know until it is in our warehouse in the US. You will not have advanced notice of its release. I am sure you can figure out for yourself why.

Thats Great! I try to keep up with all of the posts as time permits and definitely missed that one. Here's to hoping we see it!digger wrote:Not sure if you read all his posts but he said:CW4USARMY wrote:I thought Admiral said they were holding off from making the F-4 because of 21st's announcement and price point. Well, I'll just have to add $60 to my F-4 fund then.
I had to limit my XD purchase because of space issues, but for an F-4 Phantom, I'm sure I'll be able to squeeze in at least two. (Air force and navy schemes!)
Hopefully, BBI will fill the void of delayed 1/18 USAF F-4s from 21st Century and Admiral by releasing 1/32 USAF Vietnam F-4s---I really want a 1/32 Steve Ritchie F-4D and an F-4E with a Tigershark nose.
I would think customers waiting for the delayed 1/18 F-4s would jump at the chance for 1/32 USAF F-4s---particularly considering the praise earned by BBI's F-4J.
