Thought I'd post this in the Panzer IV discussion thread...
The 21c fanclub site has video of the new Panzer IVs up. Nothing new as far as the vehicle's functions are concerned. They just have excellent new paintjobs and sideskirts. If enough of these new panzers eventually get out to the small retailers and Wal Mart, it might make the S1 Panzer IVs (those that aren't broken) a little more collectable!

G'day All
I have one of these S1 beasts on the way so I been following the Mesh skirt threads with interest.
Here are some modelling links to Ausf.Js with mesh.

It would appear that the Thoma Schurzen had a different mounting frame to the solid type.

What do you think about the Corsair? I still think it's the best scheme of the lot....aferguson wrote:Got my Panzer IV today. It's ever so nice. About the only critique is that i wish it had some weathering...for the price it should but otherwise it's nice and crisp and the two figures are great.
Got a Checker Corsair in the same package so it was a good haul today.

Found the auction and -- what the heck?? $99 and its only the S1 version with possible defects? That tank is barely worth the $55 its usually offered for! Anyone with some sense should check the small retailers before going to ebay. BCA and GoodStuffToGo have them for $51 and $55 respectively, which even with shipping, won't come close to the $99 starting bid! Poor sucker that goes for it, thinking they're rare and really hard to find - even funnier if it arrives broken like so many of those Panzers were.
Anyways, glad to see the thread I started has gotten some new life

Sonoma County Web Sales
That seller's whole business is buying stuff at retail and raping someone on ebay. You often see them with TRU pieces at 3x their cost. Sadly, they sell.

my receipt say" panzer IV 063874899805" hope this helps

new WM setup for 21c
I found 2 panzer IV's $39.96, 3 winter US halftracks, $22.74, 3 winter bulldogs, $22.74, and a large assortment of BOB figures and Pacific figures for $4.95. In 1/32, they had the new playsets for around $16.74.
All of the new items were setup together on the hotwheel aisle around the g.i. joes. The bulldogs and halftracks were in good shape, but one of the panzers had a broken muzzle, and a barrel seperated at the seam. I put one on layaway that looked like a good one, the only thing wrong with it was the commanders hatch was rattling around in the box.

Funny that the Halftracks are now at Wal Mart - I remember when those same vehicles were at TRU!
Sounds like there are still some of the same Q/C issues with the Panzer IVs at Wal Mart as there were with the ones from the beginning at the small retailers. I would have thought some better packaging - like something to brace or insulate the barrel and muzzle break - would have been in order.
Nonetheless, its pretty cool that these finally showed!

Pz. IVs, halftracks, Walker Bulldogs in SC
Finally, seeing some new stuff in the Charleston area, last week the black Me-109s show up. Maybe we are back in the swing of things. Of course, the bubble top P-47s never did get here but I'll hold out!

YHTBSM!!!!!! Wow!!!! It sounds like the new display is up gentlemen. This was mentioned at the toy fair, but I was a bit sceptical. But, sure enough, it has happened. XD got it's shelf space!!!!!wise690 wrote:I found 2 panzer IV's $39.96, 3 winter US halftracks, $22.74, 3 winter bulldogs, $22.74, and a large assortment of BOB figures and Pacific figures for $4.95. Well I'll be...... I visited the local WM and found to my astonishment a rack full of Marines, BoB, and 3 Patton figures, and a few pilots!! They also had the 32x playsets as well. No HT's or Walkers, though.....
I grabbed a set of Marines, the 3 Pattons and a couple BoBs, all @ $4.97 each. I passed on the playsets, even though they looked really cool. Nothing smaller than 1:18 (except for bombers, hehehehehehe) for me...
This is starting to remind me of the old TRU!!
