P-51B Berlin Express?

Post by MightyMustang » Fri Nov 09, 2007 4:39 pm

Hey guys I have seen on some web boards that 21st has released in 1/32nd scale the P-51B Berlin Express. I have checked my local Walmarts and TRU's and they dont have them. Has anyone seen them in their area yet? Being a diehard 357th nut I want one of these.

My local TRU had a few of those in stock. Didn't pick one up though. I'm happy with my Bullfrog P-51 :D

Purchased one off of eBay last week....there are a couple of sellers who have them: Yes, it is a beauty, too. Good pic grunt1.

The reason I want one so bad is because its a 357th bird and 2 Maj Overstreet was Maj Anderson's wingman on a few occasions. It would look very nice sitting next to my 1/18th Old Crow (thangs again grunt!). Thanks grunt for the pic. I want it very bad. I guess I will have to swing by my local Walmart and TRU again.

Found a couple today at a TRU 40 miles down the road from my town. I picked one up, of course, and also got a new P-47 repaint, "Evie" 8)

The only two Mustangs I've ever seen here are Shangri-La and Bullfrog. And I've never seen a P-47 at all. :?

shangri-la and bullfrog are the only new stangs that have shown in the atlanta area; with the exception of tarheel hal and evie, you missed all the other p-47 bubbletops by a couple of years !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

* I've never seen the [+] "Berlin Express" , or any of the new P-47's @ TRU here , myself.

* Good thing "Flak Happy" sent me the one I wanted , otherwise I'd probably never see it. The TRU distribution here is wacky.

Hey, Rowsdower -

Do you ever check the WM up in Gainesville or any down in Orlando? I used to go to UF back in the 80's and hope to pass through G'ville on my way to my sister-in-law's wedding in Winter Park. And is it worth stopping in Ocala?

Things west of Atlanta are dead, supply-wise, and I'm hoping a different state might mean different selection.

I've checked Gainsville a few times. Their TRU is decent. And no its not worth stopping in Ocala, XD and FOV are in short supply here as of late.

The WM on SR50 by UCF is the best of the lot in Orlando.

As for the TRU, I remember when the orlando used to stock the 1st Gen 21st stuff, but I moved to the coast a few years ago..So I haven't kept tabs on them.

For Brevard, Palm Bay still has 1:18 Fw 190Ds in stock, along with other stuff, but that's a 40min drive south for me, locally between Merritt Island, Tiitusville and Cocoa, M.I. tends to get the newest stuff in from 21st. The M.I. TRU has FOV as does the M.I. Target and Viera Target but the picking are always slim..For FOV I would say bite the bullet and go to the Hobby Town in Melbourne and go for the good stuff..even if it's more than the stuff at Dept. Stores.

Thanks Rowsdower and Panzer_m

I doubt I'll make it outside of Orlando so I'll have to pass on Merritt Island and that area, but thanks for the tip.

The TRU in Gville is easy since its right off I-75, and the SR50 WM isn't a bad drive from Winter Park so I'll check'em both.
