FW-190D "Blue" 12

Post by GooglyDoogly » Tue Nov 13, 2007 4:43 pm

Here's the red-headed step-child of the 1/18th world...the Dora! It's a great model/toy of a cool plane, but when 21st saturated the market with it....:D

I did minor mods to the airplane, like cutting the head armor off the back seat, and gluing it to the canopy, so it slides back with the canopy. I also added the antennas in the belly of the plane, and put the step ladder in an angle.

And I did some minor painting/weathering.

I like it.....

I've wanted to add Blue 12 to my collection but as I already have the S1 and S2 versions I doubt it will ever happen.

I've also contemplated trying to correct incline on the main gear as you have done, however finding a solution to the wonky wheels has kind of been putting me off doing so.
