Hedgerow Cutters for the Sherman

I have a custom Hedgerow cutter to mount on the front of my Sherman tank. Does anyone know the proper placement for this? The one I have appears to mount to the cross beam that's on the 21st Sherman, but it's angled down ??? Shouldn't it be parallel to the ground? In otherwords mounted lower than the crossbeam that holds the gear on the front of the tank. I don't have any pics of Shermans with Hedgerow cutters on them.
