Still can't get the hang of these "winged things".

I don't know if it's the larger scale or that I really grew up with the racecars but I just can't get the pics to turn out to suit me. Here's one I did today with the 21st Century 1/18 jets.

Here's one of the 1/25 model race car pics for comparison.

Im just guessing here but maybe its the light reflecting off the planes that makes you think that somethings wrong, otherwise it looks great

Thanks guys. I have been told that I'm too hard to please but I still think something's missing. Maybe it's just the silver on both of them is a little much. Maybe I'll try something with my WWII planes and see what turns out.

Now that i thought of it the light on the jets makes it look like the sun is reflecting off of them

It is the sun reflecting off them. I always shoot my models in natural light, it just seems to give them a more realistic look. I cut them out and put them on a picture I had from an old air show picture so the sky would match on the whole shot.
