Nice! They did a new scheme also for the long tom that I picked up awhile back.

Every damn Long Tom I have seen is all messed up with tons of super glue crazing and broken bits.

Cool! ...and I must say that the Midwest TRUs seem to be the best in the country at the moment as far as distribution of new stuff: Quad .50 trailers, Pak-40 repaints, VN figures, BBI figures, and now this

Wonder when all the good stuff will go elsewhere

I am not sure if I like this new scheme; it looks a little canned.
Rowsdower, I purchased to model kits and had no problems with glue. This may be a better way to go as these are rather intracate models. They are a royal pain to assemble though.

Yes, model kits. If you go in the model section at WM they have pre-painted vehicles and unpainted AC for $14.99 and $9.99 respectively. For some reason in my AO we don't get good distribution of the pre-built vehicles. The Prist, Opels, new black/OD Sherman, Firefly and the two guns/howitzers I have had to purchase in the model form. It takes a little extra time but hey, you take what you can get.
If you are interested, many of the on-line retailers sell both pre-built and kit forms.

Interesting. All I've ever seen around here kit-wise are the old Chaffee and Sherman kits under a foot of dust. I found the Opel Blitz a month or two ago but that was in a different area. Plenty of the aircraft kits, but nobody seems to buy those either.

Was surprised to find this variant of the 8" Howitzer at a local TRU today

It looks good, but I don't need it.
