Favorite Halftrack model?

Post by B24guy » Wed Oct 24, 2007 9:45 am

What is your favorite of the 1:18th scale halftracks that are out now? I can't narrow it down, I like them all. :D

A friend of mine has the M3a3 halftrack in the winter camo scheme. That is a good looking model, and I was able to get him to sell it to me. :D

What's not to like in any half-track. I like them all, US or German.

My favorite? The big 7 ton German half-track. It's a must 21C has to make to tow our 88mm. If it was good enough for Lee Marvin in "The Dirty Dozen", it's good enough for me.

I like the Pak-40 Hanomag the best, followed by the basic S1 OD Green US Halftrack (it just looks great filled with the new D-Day troops!) The winter version of the same vehicle is also quite nice!

On the allied side, the M16 have my vote. On the evil side, the 250/7 is my favorite.

Sdkfz. 250/9 and just the basic Sdkfz. 250/1 have always had a warm spot for me...for the 251s...either the 251/7 or 251/21 I guess.

I agree with Panzer on the 250/9.

Here's one in 1/6 made by one estemed member of this board .
