Was the humvee up-armored? What was the price? Fig? Thanks!mikeg wrote:Well, its certainly true, I saw two abrams, two bradleys-one desert, 1 green/rust camo and a few humvees w/green/rust camo, also. The M1s were 29.95 and the bradleys were 19.95. I don't have much interest in current desert scheme vehicles (ya know, most of our vehicles will probably be in this color for the next fifty years or so).

Amen to thatInteresting to note that FOV has become one of the 1/18th scale players. Maybe now we can get more of the armor pieces that 21st and others failed to produce.

Now that is news!!!!!
Is the Bradley scaled accurately? It would be interesting to see if it is over or underscaled.
I'm thrilled that FOV is in the 1:18 fight, but I wish they would of gone with some original pieces. We now have 3 manufacturers of 1:18 Shermans....
They repeated everything else. Oh well, let's hope we don't see another 1:18 Mustang!!

I stopped by a Target (Wheintz Prkwy. I believe) in the St. Louis area today on my way to the airport and scored all 12 of the 1/18 FOV figures
and the woodland camo Bradley. The desert scheme M1 was there as well. Two to be exact, but I'll look for it later. I didn't have room to stow it away.
I haven't opened the figures yet since I'm getting on a plane to head back to Atlanta in an hour or so. Only had to time to grab them, pack them, and run. Just looking at them they should mesh perfectly with the bbi figures. The sculpting is awesome but it looks like they lack articulation in the wrist. They each come with a load of accessories. ALL FOR THE PRICE OF $4.99 EACH!!!
Get them when you see them.
I'll post pictures later unless someone beats me to it....

I know it will be a sheer waste of time but I will scout a few Aussie targets to see if some sort of fluke brings them down our way, but the confidence level is extremely low for a successful recon, it will be interesting what the 1/18th price point will be for the local places that carry the 1/32nd FOV as they are generally quite high (but nothing new there I guess).
Birddog/Jolly Roger could you weigh the ones you have (metric if possible) so I know how much I'll need to put away for all the future postage requirements

According to the box display that was posted, the Tiger I 's have the early rubber rimmed wheels that so many have wanted to make their DAK Tigers. As a Sherman fan I am always happy to see a new version released. However, it appears that the FOV is an early model M4A3. Basically the same turret as the 21st and the same basic hull also from the 21st with the Ford engine hatches on the rear uppper deck. from the BBI Sherman. A very easy conversion that most modders could have done themselves. I wias hoping someone would show some imagination and give us a new Sherman such as the M4A3E8. Even a M4A1 76MM would have been welcome.

Doesn't the Sherman appear to have two hatches on top, unlike the 21C? Can't tell for sure.

Did a recon of the Germantown, Maryland Target late this aftternoon, nada yet. I'll be checking other DC area Target stores this weekend and maybe I'll get lucky. Sure hope FOV will crank out the M60 and T-72, it would be sweet to have these two cold warriors in 1:18

I checked the Rio and Rockville, and nada! But if I recally correctly, once we started seeing the bbi 1:18 on ebay and popping up across the country, it was about 2 weeks before the Targets in Montgomery County started stocking said items, so we'll check back next Tuesday (I believe thats when they do restock). In the meantime, I'll be checking out the Target in Woodbridge and a couple additional stores on my travels through NoVa this weekend.ostketten wrote:Did a recon of the Germantown, Maryland Target late this aftternoon, nada yet.
