Now that's a head turner...!

Post by c44 » Fri Sep 28, 2007 9:59 pm

re: the head swivels...well, you could have knocked me over with a feather...! I checked out my Corsair pilot & lo and behold....I never knew you could turn his head...I gotta start playing with more of my toys, I've been leaving too many of them in the box...

I love this pic of the new 2-Pack!
What a great idea!
When I see how sucessful this Otto is right now, I think such a two-pack will be a cash cow for 21st.

My compliments about those new names.

Pvt. Johannes Sachsenberg (on the left)
Cpl. Heinrich Wagner (on the right)

These two names are authentic. These are real common german names and there are no spelling errors in them. Also the word Wehrmacht is spelled correctly in the news article. Good work, tko! I hope all this will be correct on the backing cards, too.

I'm not so much into the US uniforms of this time period, so I'm not the biggest fan of the VS idea. I think the Team Member idea is much better. But why two different camo patterns in one 2-Pack? If these guys are team members I would prefer it if they would share the same camo pattern.

...and I have to say this again: More german Fallschirmjäger, please!
And again - it is spelled WeHrmacht, guys...

flood of news

Post by normandy » Tue Oct 09, 2007 2:45 pm

Great news coming from Area 21.... the Dual Pack figures look great, Butcher Bird has a cool paint scheme, Dauntless & Zero in 1:144th, Big Beautiful Doll has a nice box, Panzer38T and Marder III. I can't wait for the King Tiger and 88.
Nice going 21st, this is great stuff!

Yeah, the dam finally broke on the news front! LOL. Kinda had that little false start there and I really felt like the kid at the dam but instead of corking it with my finger I was trying to use a pick axe to make the hole bigger!

Anyways... The news isn't over. Not by a long shot. I was on a call today with 21st laying down plans for the rest of this week and into next week. There is even more news beyond that point but we gotta take it day at a time. Just a heads up for everyone. I am doing another "figure of the day" campaign next week. We got new 1:18 guys coming down the pipe... and soon!

Dark side? looks more like 1/32 is in the light and the 1/18th bulbs are dimming.
Could not think of anything to put here.

The light?? It's a freakin' deathtrap..

First they came for 1/1
We remained silent..
For we could not fit a Tiger into our spare room.. Nor would the wife allow us to park it in the back yard, not even behind the shed..

Then they came for 1/6th
We remained silent..
For we would not shell out $50 bucks a guy..

Then they came for 1/18th
and we cried..
For this was the sweet spot. The wisdom of Hasbro had proven this in the 70's and continues to do so.. We enjoyed fully articulated figures, vehicles big enough to hold them, faces that did not look like zombies, accessories that were not welded to hands and turrets.. but we digress..

When they come for 1/32nd..
Who will speak for you...

Hold your ground lads!!

XD started this mess and by God we are going to finish it!!!

I'm not getting any younger and my eyes aren't getting any better: selling out for 1/32 just means that in a few years, someone could put a couple chunks of 2x4 with a pencil stuck in one on the shelf, and I wouldn't be able to tell if it was a Panther or a Sherman.
