while working on my WC52, I have also started to work my M4 Sherman. This tank is now assigned to the 3 Armored Division, 32 Armored Regiment. Not yet finished of course

Back in the days when I actually BUILT models we called that process a "black wash" and it is a very effective technique. The thin black solution flows down in to all the little cracks and crevices and replicates dirt, grime, and grease very well. You've done an outstanding job with the rust effects on that tank as well, very realistic and true to life IMO, well done.I use what I call the "black filter" to darken things. I apply a black paint and alcool solution in a 1/10 ratio.
