HELP WITH MAIN GEAR ON HELLCAT

Post by JOC » Tue Sep 25, 2007 1:04 pm

Has anyone had trouble with their main gear on the new Hellcat? I can extend the gear down but they will not lock in place and I am afraid of forcing and breaking them. They continue to collapse when trying to stand plane on gear. I understand the flap issue and will have to glue them in place, but cannot for the life off me, figure out the gear problem. I know about pulling on wheel strut to straighten out wheel, BUT COLLAPSING gear has me completely stumpted.
HELP Anyone

jay to fix your gear problem of not locking in place all you need to do is pull your wing off and then put your wheel down. then put your wing back on while you have your wheels down. the tab on the wings locks the wheel down and to put your wheels up you need to the same thing over with your wheels up.
i hope it helps buddy.

Hellcat Wheels

Thanks for the tip. I tried it and it worked with one wheel, the other will snap out of place with just the slightest movement. Wont stay, no matter what I do. Looks like it will have to be super glued in now. Or I will have to relagate it to a flying model with gear up.
