How do I remove the RC guts from the 21 cent. panzers ???

Ok, before I wreck one of these nice tanks, how do I open up and remove the "guts" for one of these tanks and make it "free wheeling" ??? THanks, General Blasto

Blasto,
You will need to start removing the screws. There are about 4 to 6 of them that hold the hull together. After that its a matter of gutting out the motors/gears/wires. Simple process.

I will have to start on those soon and maybe I can sell the electronics, motors, gear etc. to some of the train guys I know

I just yanked the guts on my 2 RC Panzers. Easy peasy. You can actually remove the whole mess(including battery box, but keep the battery door) without cutting any wires. You will have to clip the little plastic cap at the tip of the tank's antenna to pull it through the slot in the upper hull, and you'll have to gently pry the speaker from the upper hull as well. Other than that, it's all screws as Warhawker described.

I gutted two of these in April. It was remarkably easy with just a few small screw drivers and a wire cutter. If I can do it, anyone can!

The one screw in the middle or so of the engine deck (from below) seems to be more sticky than the rest and has given me some grief (breaking the plastic) so watch out for that.

Also, if you have the nerve, use the motor, etc.. on a sherman, panther or something. Now that would be cool..
