bbi F-16 landing at Target

Don't know what this means for the brick and mortar, but in general this could only be a good thing. Free shipping also makes it a great price.

Now just bring on the new figs!

I am mainly into 1/32 but do collect modern 1/18 AC. Are we sure this is the BBI F-16? I have wanted one for some time but don't want to order this and get an underscale toy like the A-10!

Hmmm... wonder which one it is. I love that there's no description or anything on it. Oh well... maybe this will pave way for the F-18 to appear again!! Wouldn't mind if the Blue Angel series of the Red Devil F-18 were rereleased!

Excellent news indeed! Was just getting ready to offer a spare Blue Angel F-18 and Jolly Rogers F-18 in trade for a few Falcons, but perhaps patience is a virute? :-)

That is great news. Wonder if the Hellcats will show up on the Target website with free shipping too.

I'm so tempted to get one but I want to know which one it is before buying. I may kick myself later for not jumping on this.

Folkwulf do let us know which one you get. That is a very good price for the F-16 and the free shipping makes it an even sweeter deal! :D

I hope this is true, but it is one thing to sell one of these big aircraft at Target for $70 after they've already amortized away most of the tooling costs. New items will be another story - but I hope having a big name like Target behind them will be the motivation required to get some big, new 1:18 scale aircraft and 'copters.

Has to be 1/18th:

• Estimated Ship Dimensions : 33 inches length x 10.5 inches width x 10 inches height
• Estimated Ship weight: 8.65 pounds

I hope it is the Hill AFB scheme that was originally planned instead of the Inchon Wolf Pack we have already.

Shpping Notice

Post by Folkwulfe » Fri Sep 21, 2007 1:45 pm

Received the shipping notice from Target today. No exact delivery date, but the notice of 3-5 days before delivery was included. As soon as it arrives, I'll shoot a couple of pictures and post it here. I already own one of the S1 releases with the Texas ANG tail markings.....I'm hoping for the Hill AFB tail too.

I think I missed the boat on this one.

Does anyone know who has the F-16 and F-18 online at the best price? I would like to pick up one or both of these but $99 w/o shipping hurts.

Looks like they're out of stock as Digger mentioned that the link no longer pulls up the item.

Wonders?

Post by Folkwulfe » Mon Sep 24, 2007 8:31 pm

I went back to target.com and tried several different ways to pull the Falcon up....no soap. I even tried serching for the item by several different names. Same deal...no soap. So I went back to the delivery message and there was a link to the item on the message and I tried it. Again...no soap. So I'm sitting here wondering if there was a short supply that ran out FAST and I was just luck enough to get in before the door closed. If that is true, I'm hoping that both Target and BBI read the writing on the wall. In the meantime, watch your local stores. What appears on the web may also be headed for the shelves in limited numbers. When the box arrives, I'll still post pictures (the good and the bad) and hopefully there will be a SKU number included. It's not on the notice I have so far. Cross your fingers guys....it may not be as bad as we fear.

Got It!

Post by Folkwulfe » Thu Sep 27, 2007 1:54 pm

Good news and bad news time.....The box arrived and it's exactly what we were looking for...

It's a "Wolf Pack" F-16C block 52.
Target Item# B000VDURD6

Bad news...Target has run out of the small supply they had available. there is a sticker on mine that indicates this Falcon came through Amazon.com before arriving at Target. That would seem to indicate that Target has become the clearing house for BBI. I can handle that. The Target rep I talked to said that there are no more in the inventory and it is unknown if there will be a re-stock coming. He also was unable to tell me in there are plans to carry this item on store shelves. However, there is every possibility that it CAN show up on the shelves...so start you scout motors and start looking. I will be watching my area.
