Panzer markings
Does anyone know what divisions the X-D Panzers are supposed to represent? I am also refering to the tanks shown on 21s's website for the NY toy fair. Specifically the white diamond shape with the two horizontal red bars. Also the Captal Cursive L on the original Panzer paint scheme. You could include the markings on the tiger as well. and if anyone knows where these divisions might have fought or been stationed, that would be helpfull. Thanks. Oh, and last but not least where can I find images of markings of Marine tanks. Say, like the 3rd, 4th, or 7th, Marine divisions.

Re:Panzer Markings
There is a picture of PIV 634 in Squadron/Signal Publications' PzKpfw IV in Action. This particular tank belonged to the 2nd Battalion, Sixth Company of the 130th Panzer Lehr Regiment, the heart of the Panzer Lehr Division. The battalion was commanded by Major Prince von Schonburg who was killed in action 06/11/44. The tank accurately displays the numerals in white on the sides and in outline on the rear. The red-on-white shield displayed on the 2nd Battalion's tanks is that of the Prince. There are a couple of differences that I can see in the picture that are not on the 21st Century tank. The shield also appears on the rear of the spaced turret armor and is a varient where the red bars run diagonally from upper left down to lower right as if the shield were turned not quite 90 degrees to the right. I can't see the rear of the hull so I can't tell if the shield and national marking appear there as well. I also cannot tell if the "L" appears in the picture or on the 21st Century tank.
The picture looks to be in Normandy and the tank has had it's right-side spaced hull armor removed, probably due to damage, according to the caption. The tank has been in heavy action from its condition, but I can't tell if it is destroyed or not.
Panzer Lehr was in the fighting in Normandy from the very beginning and, I believe, virtually destroyed there. It is quite likely that 634 did not survive the fighting.
I have some info on the other PIV that I will pass along later, unless someone beats me to it.

Re: Panzer Markings
PIV red "122" looks to be from the 3rd Panzer Division IF the bright white marking preceding the turret numerals is a standing bear as I think it is. The 3rd served on the Eastern Front from the beginning of Barbarossa until the end of the war.
I don't get why 21st Century is displaying this tank crew's uniforms with the camo side out. While certainly not unheard of, it makes much more sense to have a whitewashed tank's crew to wear the white side out.
Just for discussion, it is probable that neither the Panzer Lehr nor the 3rd Panzer Division crews would have snowsuits reversible to camo as I believe these suits were issued to SS Panzer divisions.

repaints
"White washed" - Do you mean the light colored repaint? It comes across like that in the video but it's actually yellow. Similarly,

OK, Dig, I dig. Overall Panzer yellow... Yep, you're probably right, I hadn't considered that.

To see pictures of tanks that still exist go to http://www.jagdtiger.de
By the way, I've learned since my last post here that Panzer Lehr PIV "634" was one of the two PIV's destroyed at Villers Bocage in the same battle that has made Michael Wittman famous.

SWEET! Thanks for the heads up on this one. I figured it was another semi-fictitious paint scheme. Well, this is the first fully attributable XD vehicle in the entire line, I believe. Another first for 21st! It's now added to the profile album!

Not too bad in my book.........
I know which one I'm going to get!!!! I was fortunate to be able to walk around Villers Bocage and read about the battle some years ago. This tank will be special. Thanks 21st for kicking out something substantial....

According to Panzer Colors II the white square with two red diagonal slashes belongs to the 2nd Abt. Panzer Lehr. Variations include this being turned 90 degrees to a white diamond with two horizontal stripes. To quote this was the "family crest of commander, KIA June 1944."
Hope this helps
