I have been on the 1/18 side of things for some time now. I saw a p47 (eeleen) in walmart, I picked it up along with a 190. All I can say is WOW.
The planes are perfect, light and just the right size. Not much of a toy to be played with though. I wouldn't give any to my sons yet, But boy!
So whats the deal with no p38 or corsair? I would love to see an Avenger and a hell cat. Man I can just picture an aircraft carrier scene.

Welcome to the ranks Stv9000.. There are a couple of new planes to be produced and ready before Christmas.. A Macchi 202 and a Japanese Zero..
Here is the thread with the info..

Also, I hear that eventually, everything produced in XD will also be done in 32x, including the Avenger, and possibly some larger multi-prop planes that can't be done in XD, or so the rumor goes..

Congrats on delving into the 1/32 realm. I find it quite pleasant due to their size and easy handling. I like 1:18 also but am less likely to buy repaints due to their size and cost.

Stv9000: The 21C 1:32 warbirds are excellent. Even better are the Corgi 1:32 planes: P-51D, Spitfire Mark I, and De Havilland Mosquito, with more on the way. They are diecast metal and basically flawless. Forces of Valor just came out with a Bf 109G and Spitfire IX. The consensus of the Board is that these pieces need work, but FOV intends to improve this line. So sayeth the inscrutable Candy Dong, FOV's Hong Kong tech rep.

Since you're scaling down you should check out Armour 1/48 collection, they are awesome. I just picked up a P-38 and an F-16 "enduring freedom" for my web store. Armour is a spin off of franklin mint and so they're pricey but I think you get plenty of bang for your buck.
I have to agree though, 21C lets get a corsair and spitfire going in 1.32

aferguson LOL, (the skys are a bit overcrowded down stairs) Thanks guys I saw a FOV p51 at tru last night, didn't have the cash but maybe I will go back tonight. It looks real nice. I did score a me 262 a at walmart. A DE Havaland Mosquito is a must have. Whatever they are coming out for christmas I hope its soon. Thanksgiving is already here. Does anyone know where the will be? Bad cat or Walmart? And on a final note, the armor is hard to come by. I do have a s1 german halftrack I bought years ago.

Does the Corgi Mosquito have operating landing gear? That is usually my one stipulation when buying larger scale planes.

I just picked up a 1/32 scale FW-190D9 from Wal-Mart, it's a very cool model for under $15.

Did somebody mention a Maachi?
