Corsairs and Stukas have hit central Illinois bigtime. Most stores are getting 3 or 4 boxes. Have found the 1/48th at a couple of stores, Normal and Washington, Illinois. No sign of the Maulters.
Has anyone found a good example of the Big Hog Corsair? Everyone I have seen has a dark blue splotch on the left side of the fuselage in front of the national emblem.

Nice to know that the one I got for a friend wasn't a fluke then--his Big Hog, picked up in IN, has the same splotch... I consider this proof of the effectiveness of ISO 9001 manufacturing: as long as you have a process in place to make sure that everything is done the same way, you're golden--even if it's wrong. Just make sure it's wrong the same way every time!

Same story with the "Big Hog" planes I found in California. I picked up one, it had the spot. I then went and got another, figuring I'd return the first, and it had the exact same spot. Others that were in the batch I found (I had my choice of 10) had slightly different shades of the dark blue on either side of the plane and over half had the white lines on the top of the fuselage misaligned.

Although the blue spot is annoying, I still think it is a good Corsair scheme :D

Mt. Airy Maryland WM has a nice selection of the 32X armor dualpacks, 32X opel trucks (both flavors) 32XW Warhawks and Stukas, and plenty of the new 1/48 armor, wirbelwind, panzer IV etc.

Found three NEW repaints of the Me109; also found Dogfight sets in 1/144 scale (repaints of the Hellcat/KI-84 and the Mustang/262). These are in San Diego. Please don't ask about the repaint schemes...they've repainted this plane so many times that they're all starting to look alike to me (needless to say I didn't purchase any--although one was sort of Afrika Korps looking with a two-tone tan/gray, if my feeble memory serves).

I found the repaints of the 1:144 aircraft in a Fresno, Ca Wal Mart today (Silver KI-84, spotted cammo "Yellow 3" ME-262, Hellcat with white tail stripes, and "Miss Marylin" P-51). The new ME-262 and KI-84 looked especially good.

I also found a new 1:48 scale Iron Horse pack, with the 1:48 AH-6 Littlebird Helocopter and the open bed M998 Hummer. Whats more, there were two sets with different paintschemes. One was a US Hummer and AH-6 in normal OD cammo colors. The other had the same vehicles in a foreign blue & gray cammo scheme - there was a national insignia, but I didn't recognize it. Its nice to be finding new stuff!

Cool find with that '109F! Deffinitely time to go hunting. I know three stores in my area don't have it, but that still leaves three more and there's no telling where they will show first. Its not one I'll hunt down with religious zeal I initially did with the Corsair & Stuka, but I imagine I'll see them sometime...

Blue 12 FW-190  That is a first sighting of that plane, I think. There was an Area21 newsrelease that said that plane would get produced in 32x a while back, guess they've shown up now - along with the ME-109F :D

Is there going to be 4 109Fs and 4 109Gs?

or just 4 109F/G variants.

Funny the S1 of 109G-6(Home Defense) didn't show up...I'm thinking of the Russian Front 109F-4, but I'd rather have a Gustav or a North African Fritz.

There are 3 F's and 3 G's in the issues.. Here is a link to the modelhangar where I had posted pics of them..

I found part of the 32x ME-109 assortment in a Fresno, Ca Wal Mart today :D

There were only two of the ME-109Fs, which one can see in the links above. It looks like I missed the G's in the same assortment. That is kind of funny as 1:18 ME-109Gs in the same scheme sat around this same Wal Mart for months  The planes look spectacular! They come with optional wing cannon, bomb and droptank. The North African ME-109F even has the sand filter added over the intake! Yet more great work by 21c in the 1:32nd scale 8)
