they also make another kind of strap that is dark brown and more scale in appearance that i've been using for years. You have to glue it to the gun but it looks quite good. Unfortunately i've pretty much run out of them and can't find the figures that had the straps any more.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

Way to go! That is exactly what I did with all of my extra Chap-Mei weapons. Bye bye big guns, but the straps stay.
