Dang, I was thinking of that as well. It looks like it might be one of the easier kit bashes to do. Unfortunately, no time to build them right now. Just time to buy them.Yes, I was thinking of attempting this plane. I always thought it was odd but yet cool looking plane. But there can be mutiple entries of the same plane, right?

KAMIKAZE wrote:It's about time we had another contest guys. This purpose of this contest is to see which one of you can build the best new twin engined aircraft in 1/18th scale.
You may use any material you wish.
The contest ends September 15 so get busy.
Prizes: Bad Cat Aviation Toys has graciously donated an F-86 Sabre, also I
personally will give a $200.00 Bad Cat Gift certificate and a 1/18th scale Germany Exclusive Panzer IV ( the one you never see on evil bay).
Winner gets it all.
Good luck gentlemen and thanks to Bad Cat Aviation for supporting this second contest.

Is the Northrop N-9M acceptable?
It's one of my favorite planes

Actually, from the cockpit back, the fuselages aren't the same as a P-51.tmanthegreat wrote:The F-82 could be an easier twin-engine aircraft to build as opposed to creating something from scratch... all you need are two 21c or BBI P-51s, the stabilizer from a 21c P-38, a saw, some glue, putty, paint, decals...
The F-82 is a bit longer and the tail has longer spin running down the top of the fuselage. I'm not 100% sure but this but I think the landing gears might also be different. Anyone know if this is correct. I have got my two Laura Michelle P-51s and will start cut this coming week, I hopeFlytiger wrote:Actually, from the cockpit back, the fuselages aren't the same as a P-51.tmanthegreat wrote:The F-82 could be an easier twin-engine aircraft to build as opposed to creating something from scratch... all you need are two 21c or BBI P-51s, the stabilizer from a 21c P-38, a saw, some glue, putty, paint, decals...

Just started building the fuselage for my Bf110. I'm planning on building up the balsa body, sheeting - then glassing a mold - then maybe rotationally casting the fuselage with resin so I can have a hollow fuselage. How many of you guys are building your birds with a clear canopy and fitted cockpit, and how many are having a solid blanked out canopy? Be great to be able to have a semi detailed cockpit with a 1/18 fig inside.

Je suppose que tu parles de Militoys. En effet, les avions étaient bien fait. J'aime surtout le FW 190supersonicfifi wrote:hi ! i am living in France and ther is a great magazine about all sclaes hobbies and a guy painted a P40 AVG & a FW 190 as weathered war machines absolutly stunning ( he can do it for you ...

One little idea here...
Does it have to have 2 engines... or 2 props?
Also, is a concept aircraft ok?
Sorrry for so many questions

I was getting at 2 props, 1 engine, im trying to make something a bit simplier.
Is single engine, but with 2 contra-rotating props acceptable or no?

Well I was trying to get you guys to build twin engine planes to get 21st and others interested in building them. I think I should stick to the original rules that you should have two engines. It wouldn't be fair to the others in the contest if I changed the rules. Sorry Moth. Maybe sometime this next year we can have a contest for the best new fighter plane.
