1:18 P-47N conversion???

Post by USCGMK2 » Sun Sep 11, 2016 10:53 pm

I'm interested in doing a conversion to a P-47 bubble top that I have to a P-47N. I can make the tail filet from plastic card. I'm not to worried about lengthening the wings and flaps as I don't have spare wings and trying to get a spare P-47 to hack up is too much $$$. So, my main question would be the wing tips and just seeing what anyone has done if they have done a conversion. Thanks for any information and if someones got some spare p-47 parts I'd be interested.

This is probably a little more involved then you were planning. I remembered this one from "Large Scale Planes." I hope this helps.

Thanks for the link. I see there's one on eBay already done up minus the wing extensions. But it's $180 plus shipping.

I'm also converting a P-47D to an CT ANG P-47N. I don't have spare wings and I'll probably be using sheet styrene.
