1:18 scale Canadian Forces Figures
1:18 scale Canadian Forces Figures
Recently released limited edition Canadian Forces figures. Army, Navy and Air Force. I do hope they more with different head sculpts and combat uniforms. Some vehicles would be nice too!

Re: 1:18 scale Canadian Forces Figures
hm...interesting. Not much in the way of gear with them, is there...ie nothing. A helmet and weapon would have been nice. Seem pretty hard to find too. Do you have any of these....what do you think of them?
Welcome to the board, btw.

Yeah, they don't appear to have any gear at all.
I looked at the trap, Ray.

Kinda neat, just pricey. I'd be down for a set if they were less moolah because I think they're not shabby... just pricey being gearless.

Wish him much success, few have succeeded in creating their own lines....but I don't quite get it. Aren't the figures all the same, just different headsculpts and beret colors? Would be very helpful if there were some photos showing detail and articulation.
Re: 1:18 scale Canadian Forces Figures
I don't have any as of yet. But I do plan to order a set or two and I will make sure to post some photos.

Shazam, I went to buy some and they're sold out at the Toys on Fire website. Looks like the only place they were available online.
Re: 1:18 scale Canadian Forces Figures
looks like they've been popular. 6000 made and seem to be sold out. Likely theyll be another batch made.

Re: 1:18 scale Canadian Forces Figures
That would be great if they made some more.
Does anyone else think the Navy figure looks a bit like the late Billy Mays (the pitch man from the infomercials)? Yes, it's been a long week....

Re: 1:18 scale Canadian Forces Figures
That's too bad that they are sold out, but hopefully there is another batch on the way. According to the site they plan to create 5 more characters, which shouldn't be too hard if they are just changing head sculpts. Even better if the next series are in combat gear and have a few accessories. If not, all my soldiers will be at work on the base in communications or logistics.
Don't bother checking eBay for these. The last I checked it seemed that one figure was going for over $40. Unfortunately, the seller didn't say whether he was selling one figure or the set of three. Only one figure was pictured.

Re: 1:18 scale Canadian Forces Figures
It's not like you need a new set of weapons to arm these figures. Our military uses primarily the same weapons as the U.S. does, albiet produced under different designations.MCalamari wrote:I have plenty of gear. I like them.SolidSnakeEyes wrote:Yeah, they don't appear to have any gear at all.
Heck, pretty much the only military tool that is truly Canadian is the Cougar!
Re: 1:18 scale Canadian Forces Figures
these figures arent in combat uniforms, so arming them with weapons really isnt appropriate. These are the uniforms they'd be wearing around base, out in public etc.
Combat uniforms are similar to what the US marines wear but with their own unique camo patterns. It would be very cool if this company made a series of those.
