...
The one "new" vehicle you make is something another company beat you to by three-four years...
WTF!
I am really disappointed. Please someone else get involved in 1/32 because FoV is really blowing it big time!

Sorry your disappointed Kevin. Being fair this is only the new models due in January. Something else will be released later in the year. Keep the faith!PanzerArm wrote: ...

Having said that I was disappointed regarding the FlaK 88.. How many times are they going to repaint this and call it a different release!?
Re: New FoV 1:32 2012 (with pics!)
On one hand I'm glad to see the Chaffee. I love M24s! On the other hand, there is so much more common stuff out there that hasn't been done in 1/32nd (M10 TD and it's younger "cousin" the M36 for instance). I AM glad to see that it's not just a metal re-pop of the old 21C Chaffee. If this one follows the picture, it lacks the dust shields of the 21C version - in WW2 photos show M24s operating both wayws, by Korea the dust shields were gone. FoV also shows their version having the all-steel tracks which is correct for WW2. The old 21C had the tracks with rubber pads which were primarily post-WW2. Both models have the "mounting pads" at the corners of the lower hull. For a purist these need to be ground off for an early M24.
There was a recent discussion over at the modeling site Missing Links that mentions that several British units received Chaffees in 1945, in time for them to see some action in Germany.
'nother Tiger I? OK, I guess. My often-repeated (and still unpopular comment; "Tiger tanks are like string, every yo-yo has one!"

To be honest, I might buy the tiger 1. How about a panther with zimmeret in 1/32?

I second that! It's on my list of things to do, but I'd rather buy a good one since I don't seem to have a lot of time lately to do things myself anymore.Heer wrote:How about a panther with zimmeret in 1/32?
Give me that and a t-34/76 and I would be more than happy.

Just want you all to know that FoV never asks retailers for their opinion on what to release. So, it not as though I have asked for these releases! However, I will give an opinion if/when asked and give them what you guys are asking for.
All I can suggest is that you all email Unimax with your ideas.
Re: New FoV 1:32 2012 (with pics!)
I was thinking maybe they would make a "Wespe" in 1/32. Since they made a 1/72 version. Instead of a Tiger I, How about a Sturmtiger...

I think PanzerArm knows what he is talking about: panther w/ zim and a t34/76
These would be refreshing and realistic choices.

I also see a trend that FOV seems to be re-releasing many of their former items, like the kursk panzer IV and now the grey 88 gun.

* I like this new FoV Chaffee . They got it right , It doesn't sport those dumb fenders like (all) of those old 21st.C ones. No more kit bashing those. At least it's something different. I'll take it . Another Tiger I on the other hand , ah I don't know. Will have to wait & see what it'll finally look like to make my final decision.

You guys are spoiled. I think we can consider ouselves lucky that a company like FOV is still making 32 scale. I still dont have some of those releases.
Re: New FoV 1:32 2012 (with pics!)
I'd like to see an M551 Sheridan from Desert Storm.

I could go for that. Or really anything other than more of the same WWII. I like WWII, but c'mon, there are decades worth of other items...

Unfortuately the Chaffee is one of the few US vehicles I'll never spend money on.
I only get the ones that made it to Russia under lend lease.
Seeing as they like to do licensed GM stuff I think they should put out a DUKW.
That would sell, plus they could do the truck it was based on using the wheelbase.

Re: New FoV 1:32 2012 (with pics!)
I'm excited about the 1:700 scale HMS Hood. Will go well with the Tirpitz and the 1:700 scale Bismark repaint they haven't made yet. I'll certainly get that to go with my small-scale navy.
The M-24 looks good in the promo picture, but I agree with the above post, they are making something that 21c beat them to (and in diecast to boot) back in 2004. What FOV will likely do better are some of the smaller details like weathering and fixing that ugly screw hole on the lower hull. The 21c version will still have more opening hatches and the interior with gun breach and probably more diecast, since FOV seems to be leaving metal out of their latest new toolings...
Modern armor or something else that hasn't been made from WWII (ie British, French, armor) would have been perfect.

Re: New FoV 1:32 2012 (with pics!)
The pre-production picture of the tiger looks good, so I may buy that. It's an eastern front tiger, and it seems that FOV did some research because that particular tiger was a mid-production tiger and the battalion number is also correct.
I already have the very first release normandy tiger, so I was hoping for an eastern front tiger.
On top of all that I REALLY REALLY hope that FOV will make a normandy panther.
My wish is half fulfilled!
