Forces of Valor at Meijer

Post by FieroDude » Fri Aug 31, 2007 6:45 pm

I don't know how widespread Meijer is anymore--I know MI, IN, OH, KY, and I think IL and WI, but I found the new FOV 1/32 Tiger and King Tiger (1944 Germany paint schemes) at Meijer tonight. Price was $24.99.

Now if they just carried some decent 1/18 stuff :)

Fascinating! I wrote an email to Meijer about 6 months ago suggesting they get on board with either FOV or 21C. Glad to see they are getting with it. :D

(I am sure it was my email that convinced them..... )

Made another stop off at Meijer tonight. They have since added several smaller 1/32 items (Jeeps, Schwimmwagen, etc., and figure sets) and 1/72 aircraft, armor, and figure packs. The selection now officially puts both the local Targets and TRU to shame. I picked up a 1/72 Stuka zu Fuß to go with my growing 1/72 armor collection. I also saw a 1/72 figure set I never saw before. Don't remember the name, but it included 2 soldiers carrying a stretcher with a wounded soldier on it.

Pricing is comparable to Target:
- $9.99 for the smaller 1/32 vehicles--I didn't check figures)
- $9.99 for 1/72 aircraft
- $7.99 for 1/72 armor
- $5.99 for figure sets.

Happy hunting!
