Looking for S1 M151 Vietnam Mutt (reference pictures added)

Post by Spudkopf » Mon May 07, 2007 3:30 pm

I have been searching for a 21stCT's 1/18th S1 M151 Vietnam Ford Mutt for some time now, and the few sightings of this elusive piece that where on eBay have all but dried up.

So now I put a call out to my fellow board members for help in locating this item.

I can't remember, but is that the one with the M-60 or the one with the TOW missile launcher? The TOW missile variant is quite plentiful with the small retailers, as is the US Navy Seal variant of the same vehicle

G'day Razor

The Mutt that I am after has only has a single poll mounted M60 and is painted olive drab and has radio ariels mast on one the rear corner and a raised exhaust on the other, I think it also has a raised air filter located on the windshield and I think it also has a wire cutter on the front fender.

The TOW and the modernised SEAL versions are both readily available but the original VN version is nigh impossible to find, well it seems that way to me at least anyway.

A few weeks back I found a couple of these at a WM way out west of Ft. Worth for $7.00 clearance! I bought one and left the other two. Dont know if are still out there.

G'day Warhawker

If they are the same version as pictured above then I'd take both if I could get them, is this location local to you?

I am currently in Northern Calf working for a week. When I return back to Texas I can see if they still have the Mutt. The WM is about 1 1/2 hour away. I will try to call the store and give the SKU# and see if they still have them. I will let you know.

G'day Warhawker

This sounds really great, here's hoping that one or both are still there, but at the same time I do not wish for you to go to far out of your way and 1 1/2 hours traveling does seem a bit like that.

I can see it's going to be a long week.

Thank you very much you are a true gentlemen.

G'day all

Still no joy locating the initial release S1 Veitnam M151 Mutt, missed out on one on eBay a couple of days ago, when it hit the $40 mark I had to give in as I still had to factor in the extra cost of international postage.

So I'm bumping this post in the hope that someone out there on the board has a spare one tucked away in the vast collections.

Otherwise I have to consider getting the PTE one just to give me a fix.
