Rivet Pattern for the F-86

Post by mcaulk » Mon Apr 09, 2007 8:20 pm

Need help…

have great fuselage rivet pattern for the F-86 Sabre but nothing on the wings. Have 1000s of Sabre pics but nothing showing the rivets in the wing. Anyone have or know a source? Working on 1/18th scale 21st Century F-86F. Have sanded down the heavy panel lines and want to add accurate rivet detail but no joy on a source. Desperate in Ann Arbor.

Regards,

Mike

Hello Mcaulk, At this stage of plane developement. I think that all planes had flush rivets so they would not show up on a model even if it were 1/18 scale. I think you would be better off with the panel lines lightly scribed.
Kirk Douglas : Mine hit the ground first
John Wayne : Mine was taller
