if you won the lottery

The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.

It reminds me of when I was in France during high school and a friend's dad was a big shot businessman in Marseille. She took me into his office once to show me his model car collection--all 1/6 scale metal hand-built Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Bugattis, with leather seats and every imaginable detail, and most with signed and numbered plaques. I asked her what these kind of pieces run, and she said the two that saw him buy were about 45,000 francs each--at that time, about $7,000. Makes me wonder what something like that would be worth today with appreciation....

For that price the motor better start and all the controls move with the stick. That would be sweet.

If I won the lottery I would restore the next German tank to be pulled out of a Russian bog. :D Then I would invite all you metal heads to come play in the tank.

I like the idea of building a WW II museum.
Have a whole wing for 1:18 XD with a toystore for the kids.

Next Build a chain of Coffee shops -
Id even make a XD Cafe bar
XD Extreme Decaff - hang XD planes from the ceiling

ok so it might not go well - how about a soda machine at the museum that sells XD beverage and ice cold Yo Joe Cola

What a great model. Incredible detail. I like the idea about the XD museum with the toy store-I'm in on that.

If I won the lottery...

I buy 21st, BBI and Admiral Toys.

And I give a call to Mark Clark to know what he has in stock. Too bad I was a little short when they were selling "Alberta Blue"...

Seriously, I would buy a few of these HPH 1:18 planes. They're pretty cheap at circa $1600.00 each (...) :-)

If I won the lottery, I would buy Gift certificates from bad cat aviation, Military toyshop, AIKEN'S AIRPLANES, or any place you like to shop online. Oh they would be 2,000 USD, and I would invest 2 million USD in Admiral toys.

If I won the lottery - namely one of those mega-millions jackpots that come from time to time - I'd buy out 21c and fix a few issues

Don't worry, they'd still make all the great stuff and then some! However, the overall QC issues would be addressed, and the small retailers would get first dibs on every new release followed by Wal Mart. Oh, and TKO could remain fanclub president and P51 the website photographer so long as I desire that they do so

It took only about 5 million to get that P-38 out of the ice and make it airworthy.
As long as were thinking big(dreaming) I would buy all of the contenders. :D BBI, Admiral and 21st. and put them to work making every plane and tank that I ever have dreamed of. They will all have to make at least one a week and I will give an incentive to who ever beats the time frame. Of course I would have to hit the big lottery . The one that was 300 million. If I do I think the wife would be happy as long as she got some shoes.
Kirk Douglas : Mine hit the ground first
John Wayne : Mine was taller
