"Let`s ROCK!!" Colonial Marines Vasquez & Dra

Hey guys,

Well i`m keeping the "Colonial Marine WIP" thread for all WIP undates & thus started this one to show off my Vasquez & improved Hot Toys Drake.

First off Parts:-

Vasquez.
HEAD: GI Jane (sanded down hair & then redone with cloth doo-rag.
TORSO: GI Jane.With sculpted on Straps & Armour/Light from HT Drake.
ARMS: GI Jane.Sanded down sleeves to make bare arms.Also sanded down gloves. Chopped off hands & added HT Drake hands.
WAIST: GI Jane. Added the support for Smart Gun from HT Drake.
LEGS: GI Jane.
Headset is from HT Drake.

Drake.
Hot Toys Drake with repainted hair for accuracy.Also used TUS XD CIA Baseball cap (painted OD) for him too ala film.Heated the headset to fit over the cap when on head.

Well there you have my first batch of my Custom Marines. If you notice in the first photo,the rest of the WIP squad are there.

really great. Hot Toys makes a 4 inch Drake figure? I see nothing on Ebay..

Thank`s mate & I do have an ALIENS APC planned (all being well) & would truely love to have a crack at the dropship,though alas don`t think i can pull that off

Thank`s & yea they do pop up from time to time "Hot Toys snap kit" or "Colonial Marines" or "USCM" tend to be the better ways to track them down.There was a Drake earlier this week on ebay actually & No I didn`t buy him...LOL

hmm.....somehow i missed the boat on these hot toys colonial marines. Now i am in the unfortunate position of having to scramble after them, now that the barn door is closed, as it were.

Is there going to be a second wave of 4" colonial marine figures, has anyone heard?

I truely Hope there will be a 2nd wave from Hot Toys in the 4" ALIENS vs USCM line.

We knew to expect this first series of Marines two years ago when the original 4" Snap Kit AVP figures came out by Hot Toys. On the mini poster it stated"coming Soon USCM",though it took over a year for the Marines to appear.

That the 1/6th Marines have done 2 series already & now a Powerloader is planned,i`d truely like to think HOT TOYS will turn it`s attention back to the 4" lineup & give us more Marines & Bugs.

Well here`s hoping at least

great work Ja they look really nice and great work on the camo too!!! your making me wish that i got these lol would be good to see hot toys do a second series or even expand into other 1:18 figs if you could get customs like these out of them

Thank`s Scope for the kind words mate & Glad you like her & the improved Drake too

Now as for Hot Toys doing more of the Aliens vs USCM. I`ve heard said YES there is another series coming though apart from that,I`m afriad that`s all I have.

Though my own Movie Accurate squads are almost done anyway...LOL

Still more Marines to buy to customize

I`m making a UKCM (Yes we have our own,based these on the ALIENLEGACY Colonial Marine British collectors,which I`m now a member of) detachment too so if this is true,I`ve plenty of new recruits

Well i am going to have to keep an eye out for wave 2!

As for the UKCM hadn't ever heard of them but you know that i am going to be VERY interrested to see them!

It`s great being back online mate even if it is more hectic here..LOL Still I`m finding time to do little bits still

Yea I too am watching out for wave 2,if I hear more or see anything I`ll post a thread here

As for the UKCM,as said the actual guys are fans who`ve made/bought their own Colonial Marine set-ups (Armour<M41A,Smartgun etc) & are of course British fans.
So my tribute to these guys is to make some at 1/18th & lets me have a little more leway on hardware
