Packaging a warhawk

Post by nooker21 » Wed Feb 21, 2007 11:19 am

Hi, I'm going to be shipping an opened P-40 and was wondering if anyone can give me some good and safe shipping tips to protect those delicate wing guns and pitot tube (not to mention the propeller). Since I don't have the original box, what would be the best way to wrap everything safely? Lots and lots of bubble wrap? I'll be shipping it unassembled, so the wings will be close to the fuselage, but without that plastic molded tray that keep everything firm...

Thanks for the help,

Michael

Bubble wrap would be your best bet in protecting the loose parts. I would also tape the bubblewrapped items to the box so that they won't shift during transit or put a lot of newspaper in between the open spaces to prevent movement.
