Modified Opel Blitz and Maultier

Post by grunt1 » Thu Jan 04, 2007 7:11 pm

Found the kits in my AO (finally).. :D

After opening them up, it appeared to be an obvious mod to interchange the parts. So after doing that, plus a little paint I got two nice new unique variants..

Still need to add the little accessories from the box as well as move the rear mud guards from the original Maultier bed to the new "stock gray" Maultier.

Nice, I was wondering when someone would try a new paint scheme on these trucks! Great work!

Sorry, didn't realize someone asked a question. These are more of a kitbash than an actual new paintjob.

I had to do some tweaking with the rear fenders and other small modifications, not much really. As for the paint, I only had to do the fenders and the wheel rims on the truck and also the bogies on the Maultier.

I posted more info and updated pictures here:

i didn't realize you were a 1/32 guy too. I thought you were 1/18 through and through.

Frankly, i'm a little disappointed..

lol.. Hard to stay loyal to a scale that isn't loyal to me. That crazy trailer about pushed me over the edge..

But.. You'll be happy to see the next project is a 1:18/1:16 version of above. Can't get an Opel but I have a Ford..
