Earlier this week I saw a 32X Mobelwagen that was severely battle damaged witha wounded crewman.

I think that maybe it looked okay but that's not my cup o' tea.

Either way, that Sherman looks alright - just not much into 1/18 any more.

Well, I'll say this much, I can wrap my brain around that custom a heck of a lot more easily than the pseudo-Jagdpanzer and that circa 1939 Panzer Ausf G. lol

He made 100.00 bucks on this one. I kind of like it. It reminds me of rocket throwing Sherman from Battlefield 1942:Secret Weapons game.

What did he make on his "Firefly" tank? Anybody know?

he's had a few firefly's on......he usually gets around $100. I don't know why he made his Calliope sherman so complicated. The real thing was simpler than his elaborate framework. All the sixty rocket tubes would be a pain but i plan to make one using 60 cheap ballpoint pen shafts (10 cents each). The shaft diameter and length are perfect; just need to cut one end off.

Yes the 1939 Pz IV is a bit of a puzzle. Even if he'd hacksawed the barrel shorter it would have been better. :P

All that said, he usually gets $100+ for his customs. They probably cost him under $50 to make, assuming he's getting the tanks for cheap at WM. And lots of buyers seem to like what he does; they'er being snapped up pretty quick. Very enterprising.

Yep, the panzer Ausf G looks ok I guess, but aside from painting the thing grey, and opening up some of the hatches, I can't really see where this is all that much of a "custom", I dunno, to each his own I suppose. He's asking $110 to buy it outright, not a bad profit for a paintjob and little else if he can sell it for his asking price.

Yup, something like my RC Panzer IV Ausf G DAK custom would be a lot more credible, and that one is mediocre at best. Only difference is the paint color and the decals. You would think a little research might accompany the effort that goes into making the custom. I dunno.
