Korean war P-51 paint scheme

Post by Sabrefan » Sat Apr 29, 2006 3:20 pm

Does anyone think that either BBI or 21st Century toys will release their P-51 in a Korean war scheme? It would be cool to have a F-51 Mustang to go with the F-86 releases. :D

It's been a long road, but I am still in the game. :)

Could be done...

It could be done, I'm sure. Without checking, I think the basic P-51D that both companies have produced is correct for Korean war Mustangs. I think it would open up great new possiblities for paint schemes, not only USAF, but South Korea, Australia, and South Africa.

21C is a good bet to try this to go along with their F-86 and Mig-15. I don't mean to be snippy, but my feeling is that we'll see an airshow bird from BBI. (sure am disappointed about the Corsair...it sure had me fooled for a while  )
