TBF Avenger Prototype
Re: TBF Avenger Prototype
I've meet up with him locally, he buys and sells 1:18 and 1:32 stuff, he's got some good/hard to find stuff from time to time.

Re: TBF Avenger Prototype
I have bought a heap of this seller before some at a really good prices.
Re: TBF Avenger Prototype
Only a $100 bucks.
Good God, it's like nobody gives a c**p about 1/18 stuff anymore . That last prototype listed sold for $50.
IMO, the scale is dead, if a prototype draws this little interest and sells for honestly chump change, yeah, we're done here.

Re: TBF Avenger Prototype
Maybe at the risk of making my usual off the cuff remark, I'll say the following- probably a fair amount of us don't give a rodents posterior about these unpainted prototypes, only existing bent-straight prop this, that or the other ebay find. Whether the avenger sells for 25.00 or 5000.00, the thrill of owning this escapes me. I'll settle for the never ending attempt to own one of every off the shelf or retailer exclusive 18th ac I can get my hands on- that's sufficient for me. With all due respect, if most of us longtime, large collection types don't want this bent wing gun primered wonder, so what? My hobby ain't dead, it's just hibernating under the dust in the basement

Re: TBF Avenger Prototype
Prototypes, especially unpainted and very 'plain jane" ones, are not really for me.
Would rather have the finished model, and these are more for the very hardcore 1/18 collector.
These prototypes are not indicitave of the market, but I do understand the point raised.
