Franklin Mint/Armour 1/48 B-17's

Anyone own one? Are they worth it? Looking at some B-17G's. I'd like Corgi but the price is almost the same and smaller.

I have one. The RAF version.

Not the most desirable, but the price was right, with a FM B-25.

They are big and very heavy, and will need some significant display space.

But have some impressive presence.

If you have the space, and the price is right, go for it.

Isaw these in person years ago when my local hobby store carried the Franklin Mint planes. Snake is very much correct with the size, weight, and impressiveness factors. Personally, I think the B-17F model looks the most accurate. The B-17Gs just look a little funny in the nose section where FM didn't get the cheek gun mounts to look quite right...
